It's kind of crazy to think that it is November. I'll be spending Thanksgiving in Kansas with family for the first time in several years & despite the fact that it is going to be COLD, I am really looking forward to it! I pray that each of you have a blessed Thanksgiving.
So, I actually got my Scripture yesterday at a Thursday morning Bible study I attend. The reality is, it was a crazy day & so needless to say, I'm just now posting at 5:23 AM. Confession time: I've really struggled memorizing the last 6. Why? My routine got off track. Truth be told, it can happen quickly. I don't feel condemnation & I hope that if you are struggling that you don't either. It's one of the reasons that I've been mailing encouragement cards - to let you know that you are not alone & to keep moving forward. So, back to the Scripture. Yesterday, Julia [our teacher] talked about receiving all that Jesus provided on the cross. Ladies, we have been given the Word of God - which has power. It is our SWORD to fight the enemy. Jesus [our example] combated Satan with these words, "It is written..." - the question is, are you? Start with what you have memorized, experience God's power & you will keep moving forward & you will want to memorize more. There were 3 verses that just spoke to me: Luke 10:19 Amplified Bible (AMP)19 Listen carefully: I have given you authority [that you now possess] to tread on serpents and scorpions, and [the ability to exercise authority] over all the power of the enemy (Satan); and nothing will [in any way] harm you. Do you believe that you have authority? 2 Corinthians 10:5 Amplified Bible (AMP)5 We are destroying sophisticated arguments and every exalted and proud thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God, and we are taking every thought and purpose captive to the obedience of Christ, Do you know the Truth, are you standing on it? Are you taking your thoughts captive & placing them under the rule & authority of Jesus Christ? 2 Corinthians 4:4 Amplified Bible (AMP)4 among them the god of this world [Satan] has blinded the minds of the unbelieving to prevent them from seeing the illuminating light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. Ladies, we have family & friends living blinded by the enemy! It is time to pray that the veil of blindness falls from their unbelieving minds - to be their intercessor & to shine the light of the gospel in a very dark world. So, which one am I memorizing? 2 Cor 10:5 - God gave me that Scripture in January 2018 during my GROW Setting Workshop & I have been praying it every since - but I hadn't memorized it YET, now I am. Join me. Pray with me! Stand boldly at the gates of hell & redirect traffic. ~C p.s. I sent out my MailChimp letter with lots of announcements - I'll be doing a 2019 Challenge again. Want to join me? Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.
