I wish that I could sit down with each of you 1:1 and talk about what this last 2 weeks looked like. Did you focus on memorization or did you struggle? Both are equally possible. How much - beyond the selecting the Scripture - did you invest in memorization? In case you missed it, my first suggestion on the selection of Scripture is to make sure you write it in several locations: I used my bathroom mirror, the "throne" room, a post it in my car (though I will use a different post it note mine was too hard to read) and in my planner. The other suggestion I made was to record yourself on your phone & set a time that you would listen to it and as it plays, say it with yourself. This becomes very helpful as we continue to memorize more verses. Memorization can be daunting for many people & I am asking you to first, ask Holy Spirit to help, that's why He is in us! Second, ask me for help - I have developed many tools & methods that just maybe one of them would help you. The picture that I have featured is something I use, first because it's visual & second, the time I invest in selecting the pictures actually gives me a huge leap in memorization. My pictures won't work for you, but I can teach you how to do this & I would LOVE to host a free class sometime if ANY of you are interested. Here is my January 15, 2018 Selection: Proverbs 4:25-26, AMP "Let your eyes look directly ahead [toward the path of moral courage] And let your gaze be fixed straight in front of you [toward the path of integrity] Consider well and watch carefully the path of your feet, And all your ways will be steadfast and sure." Cheryl Muecke, Peoria, Arizona Lets see your post!!! P.S. I will be Announcing the winner of the Journal Bible, Vera Bradley Cover & Bookmark!!!!

"And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.: Hebrews 11:6 NLT

But He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly about my weakness, so that Christ's power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV

I'm copying this one. Was having trouble deciding on a verse this week and this one really stood out to me. Thanks for the idea! :-)

“Therefore, since we have been justified [that is, acquitted of sin, declared blameless before God] by faith, [let us grasp the fact that] we have peace with God [and the joy of reconciliation with Him] through our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed). Through Him we also have access by faith into this [remarkable state of] grace in which we [firmly and safely and securely] stand. Let us rejoice in our hope and the confident assurance of [experiencing and enjoying] the glory of [our great] God [the manifestation of His excellence and power].” Romans 5:1-2, AMP

Blessed is the one who preservers under trial, because having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.

With the events in my life right now, going to the celebration of life/memorial for my MIL, meeting relatives who are so far from God this verse has consumed me.

Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, having been firmly rooted and now being built up in Him and established in your faith, just as you were instructed, and overflowing with gratitude. Colossians 2: 6-7 (NASB)

Is this the kind of fast I have chosen, only a day for people to humble themselves? Is it only for bowing one’s head like a reed and lying in sack cloth and ashes? Is this what you call a fast, a day acceptable to the Lord?
