I don't know about you but I can't believe we are starting the 6th month - I mean how in the world did June roll around so fast? Yes, I know - one day at a time. If you've been following me at all or reading the blog post from May 15th, you know that I am in Missouri right now helping my mom & papa do some work on their little farm & I love it. There is nothing more fulfilling than a solid days work, but at my age I can certainly feel it. This always reminds me to share some of the struggles that come with changes in your routine - change alters what you do, when you do it & sometimes even how - last time I had to improvise & test posting from my phone. This time I'm sitting on the 6th floor of a building, in a little cafe, overlooking Springfield, Missouri. Truth be told I have not done very well memorizing this last couple of verses - my routine changed. I had shared earlier this year about how I use pictures to remember my Scripture. It wasn't until a couple of days ago that I was able to choose them & I realized just how much it actually helps me ( I hope you have discovered at least one thing that helps you too). Back to my point, life is full of change - sometimes it's as simple as getting a little sick & sometimes it's life altering circumstances and these things can suddenly detour you from that path you are on in building a relationship with your heavenly Father & before you know it, it's not just days since you have opened your Bible - but months which can turn into years. The enemy is incredibly good and often very subtle in his tactics. As 1 Corinthians 16:13 "Be on guard; stand firm in your faith [in God, respecting His precepts and keeping your doctrine sound]. Act like [mature] men and be courageous; be strong. Keep moving forward! You can do this. Yes, it's challenging and yes, maybe you had to skip some but don't let that detour you from this journey. Here's my verse: Philippians 2:13 AMP "For it is [not your strength, but it is] God who is effectively at work in you, bot to will and to work [that is strengthening, energizing, and creating in you the longing and the ability to fulfill your purpose] for His good pleasure." In reference to the pictures - match up my words - Your eyes have seen my unformed substance, and in Your book were all written the days that were appointed for me, when/which as yet there was not one of them [even taking shape]. I know! I'm crazy (smile)

“‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’ The second is this: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ There is no commandment greater than these.”

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
